One Month In: Am I Actually Becoming the Person I Said I Would Be?

The New Year’s Hype is Over. Now What?

Okay, the New Year’s excitement has settled. It’s now February, which is typically when resolutions start fading, motivation dips, and reality sets in.

But this year, I wanted things to be different. I set big goals for myself, made promises, and visualized a better, more disciplined version of me.

So… am I actually becoming her?

Let’s check in.

January Goals Recap: Wins, Struggles, and Reality Checks

Working Out More

Still not a huge fan of working out, let’s just be honest. But, I recently made a decision that will quite literally require me to get in shape (I’ll wait until it’s official before spilling the details, so stay tuned 👀).

Right now, my workouts have been limited to morning walks, but even that has hit a roadblock. A little reminder to be cautious about sharing locations online. I posted a short video while walking, and let’s just say…it led to an uncomfortable situation. So, I’ve switched up my routine.

But here’s the good news: soon, I’ll have no choice but to commit to a consistent fitness routine. And honestly? I’m kind of excited about that. I’ll obviously still film the journey.

Eating Better

A major win here: I’ve been skipping fewer meals. I still do intermittent fasting, but I no longer feel guilty if I decide to eat outside my usual hours. My meals are more balanced, but they’ve also been a little… monotonous.

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring, so I’ll be experimenting with ways to make balanced meals more exciting. If you have any fun meal ideas, I’m open to suggestions! I think it’ll make fun content too!

Increasing Income

I’ve taken on more local content creation gigs, which has boosted my income. But when it comes to UGC (User-Generated Content), I haven’t fully dived in yet. That’s something I need to change.

On the bright side, I’ve been spending less recklessly and budgeting better. January was expensive, but I made it through without completely wrecking my savings. Progress!

Creating Content That Feeds the Soul

This is where I’m struggling the most.

I still get on myself about not posting consistently on YouTube. I know I need to stop overthinking and just create, but perfectionism is holding me back. I always want my content to be top-tier, but in chasing perfection, I’m stopping myself from doing what I set out to do: helping and inspiring people.

I’ll fix that.

Also, I really want a dedicated content camera to make filming easier. Not a necessity, but it’s on the list.

Becoming an International Model

I took the leap. I applied to international modeling agencies. And so far? Crickets.

But I’m not discouraged. Instead, I’m realizing I need to retake my digitals and reapply. Maybe the first round wasn’t meant to be, but I’m not giving up. Quitting and failing are the same thing, and I refuse to fail.

Language Learning: Italian, Korean & Maybe Spanish?

525 days on Duolingo… and I’m still not conversational.

I think I’m ready to ditch the streak and commit to a real course. Also, I’ve been debating whether I should just focus on one language instead of juggling three. Right now, I’m leaning toward Korean.

But suddenly, I’m also feeling the urge to refresh my Spanish since I’ve barely practiced it. The struggle of wanting to learn everything at once is real. Patience is key.

Dating & Friendships

Zero dates. Not even a coffee meetup.

I’m a busy girlie, and dating just hasn’t been a priority. Plus, my knight in shining armor has yet to appear on a white horse. Maybe next month.

As for friendships, I’ve been focusing on nurturing the ones that align with my values and creating space for the right people to come into my life. No forced connections.

2025 Bingo Card Progress

From my 2025 goals, the only thing I’ve successfully accomplished so far is starting this blog.

That’s 1 out of 24. But hey, it’s a start.

What’s Next? The Game Plan for February

February is all about refining my approach:

  • Commit to a workout plan (for real this time)

  • Get creative with healthy eating

  • Push harder on content creation: less overthinking, more action

  • Retake my modeling digitals & reapply

  • Pick ONE language & go all in

  • Stay open to new opportunities

One month down, eleven more to go. No pressure, just progress!

Final Thoughts: Are You Becoming Who You Said You Would Be?

If you set goals at the start of the year, this is your sign to check in.

Are you still on track? Have you adjusted your approach? Are you actually becoming the person you envisioned?

If not, that’s okay. You still have time. Just don’t quit on yourself.

K, Bye!
